SILVIA

Paruzullo

Dr. Silvia Paruzzolo is a social science economist with more than 15 years of global experience specializing in evidence generation, project management and capacity building on crosscutting issues related to social and economic empowerment.
In her current role as Global Head of Child Poverty she provides leadership advancing Save the Children’s child poverty priorities across contexts. Silvia previously worked at the ILO where she led the Evidence Based Advocacy component of the Youth Entrepreneurship Facility in East Africa. She also worked as an Economist at the International Center for Research on Women and at the World Bank as an evaluation expert for youth employment programs. Silvia holds a PhD in Public Administration and a Master of Science in Economics from Bocconi University in Milan, Italy.

Jacobus

de Hoop

Jacobus (Jacob) de Hoop is a senior economist in the World Bank’s Poverty and Equity Global Practice. Before joining the World Bank, Jacob worked as a humanitarian policy research manager at UNICEF Office of Research – Innocenti, was a member of the Transfer Project, worked as a researcher at the International Labour Organization (ILO), and was affiliated with the Paris School of Economics as a Marie Curie Post-Doctoral Fellow. He holds a PhD in economics from the Tinbergen Institute and VU University in Amsterdam

Meltem Dayıoğlu is a professor in the Department of Economics at Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey. She received her Ph.D. from the same university in 1995 and has been a faculty member since then.

She studied business administration at Bogazici University in Istanbul and MSc in Economics at the Birkbeck College in London with Chevening Scholarship.

Hacer Foggo has worked for 15 years as reporter with various papers and magazines, focusing mainly on issues of human rights. Since 2003, she’s been focusing on the problems of Roma and poor people through different civil society organisations.

She was born in Adana in 1986. He graduated from Boğaziçi University, Department of Political Science and International Relations in 2009. Since 2007, he has worked as a volunteer and professional in different capacities in the field of children’s rights. Issues such as prevention of violence against children, juvenile justice system, child protection system were among his fields of study. In 2013, UNICEF began working in Karagoz, from UNICEF Turkey Office since June 2018 has been working in the field of prevention of child labor in the Social Policy Department.

Nuran Torun Atış is currently working as a training and education officer at ILO Office for Turkey for the Programme on Elimination of Child Labour. She is dealing with development and delivery of customized capacity development interventions targeting various stakeholders including children, families and social partners relevant in the context of child labour.
